Note: Due to their large bitmap size, it may not be possible to display and/or print some of these images directly from your browser. You may need to save the image to disk and print using another program. Most images are best printed in landscape mode.
A note concerning some of the larger images (such as the "Panel Unit"):
- If you print some of these drawings on standard (e.g. 8.5"x11" - approx. 22x28cm) paper, you'll likely need a magnifying glass to read it - if it's legible at all!
If you can't print on larger paper, then I'm afraid that you'll have to be resourceful - possibly printing it on several pages using a drawing program.
Important note for users of Internet Explorer(tm):
- Due to a bug in some versions of Internet Explorer, some of the diagrams may show up as blank images. The workaround is to use a different browser, or you may right-click on the link of the desired image, save it to disk, and look at it using an image viewer. In other words: The link does work - it's the browser that doesn't!
The diagrams:
- Block Diagram (342kB) - This diagram show the general signal flow and interconnection of the various modules.
- Main Unit (1276kB) - This includes the RF, IF, and audio stages for both TX and RX, as well as power supply.
- Panel Unit (400kB) - Shows the CPU, display, and some of the audio processing. This drawing does not print well on A-sized paper!
- PA Unit (373kB) - Shows the highpass, lowpass, forward/reverse RF detection, and TX stages (except the final.)
- Final Unit (69kB) - Shows the final amplifier.
- PLL Unit (298kB) - Shows the VCO and synthesizer for the master local oscillator.
- Ref Unit (60kB) - Shows the master frequency reference oscillator
- VR Unit (32kB) - Shows the schematic of the subassembly containing the volume and squelch controls.
